Hotel and Destination Updates

After careful consideration, ALG Vacations® has made the decision to offer a new Jamaica policy for travel November 15 - December 15, 2025. Our existing policy for travel prior to 11/15 still applies.

 

We have scheduled a special webinar for tomorrow, Nov. 7, to review this new Jamaica policy (and address the 2026 ORD/PUJ ENVF cancellation) – Register here.

 

ALGV will be accepting new Jamaica bookings arriving December 1, 2025 forward. At this time, the recovery of the destination is in progress and remains fluid. We are working closely with the hotels, excursions and tourism boards to monitor changes. We’ll continue updating the hotel updates section with any limited services or restrictions as new information becomes available.

Airline Policies

Most major airlines have extended their policy deadlines to allow for brand or airline credits for travel scheduled after December 15, 2025. Please click your airline below for additional information.

Cancellation Requests

  For Bookings Arriving in Jamaica 10/26/25 - 11/14/25
For bookings WITH Travel Protection Plus Full Travel Credit TPP bookings may cancel & receive travel credit. The amount paid for Travel Protection Plus will also be credited. Cash back offer is also available.
Cash Back TPP bookings may cancel and receive a full refund. The amount paid for Travel Protection Plus will also be refunded.
• You may want to rebook your clients immediately and prefer not to offer the full cash refund option. Please use Click to Contact to let us know you would like this to be a credit to rebook with.
• Commission protection is NOT eligible due to waiving the amount paid for Travel Protection Plus.
Bookings WITHOUT Travel Protection Plus • All penalties will be waived. We are offering reimbursement in the form of travel credit. Cash back offer is also available.

 

  For Bookings Arriving in Jamaica 11/15/25 - 12/15/25
Bookings WITH or WITHOUT Travel Protection Plus • With few exceptions, the entire cost of the vacation (with or without Travel Protection Plus-TPP), including airfare, hotel, TPP, and features like transfers and excursions, will be reimbursed for travel credit (or refunded with TPP cash-back or land-only cash-back) when you cancel more than 72 hours prior to scheduled travel through 12/15/25.
  • The few exceptions to the above policy are penalties charged by a few smaller airlines. Additionally, Couples Resorts are requiring cancellation a minimum of 14 days prior to scheduled arrival.
  • Reimbursement will be in travel credit, unless clients purchased the Travel Protection Plus (TPP) cash-back option or is a land-only reservation, and the cost of TPP will be refunded/credited.
  • If you have already cancelled your clients’ travel from 11/15 – 12/15 and received a refund or travel credit, we will be recalculating that amount, and you may be eligible for additional credit. There’s no need to contact the call center—we’ll handle this for you and follow up via email once the adjustment is complete. These recalculations can take up to 30 days.
  • If your client wants to rebook travel within 30 days to any destination and immediate payment is required on the new booking using a travel credit or refund that is due, cancel the booking and call us using click to contact. Be prepared with your new booking details. We will escalate with accounting and move the funds to the new booking once received.
  • If you have or are due to receive a refund or credit from the airline directly, any ALGV refund/travel credit will exclude that amount.
  • The cost of TPP, when applicable, will be refunded or applied to travel credit based on the plan type purchased.
  • This policy applies to FIT (including GroupEase®) bookings only. Contracted group bookings are being addressed individually. The Groups team will reach out to each advisor with a contracted group booking for options.

Please note that even if their flight was canceled by the airline, you still need to take action on the reservation; see scenarios #1 and #2 below.

  • Travel Protection Plus

    How Travel Protection Plus (TPP) Impacts Their Travel

    Clients scheduled to travel in coming days:

    • With TPP, they may change or cancel with a full travel credit or cash refund less the TPP premium. 
    • Without TPP, penalties may apply.

     

    The airline and hotel policy may change as the event unfolds.
