Don’t just check the box at the end of the booking process—be sure your clients understand and agree to our Terms & Conditions before confirming their booking. While not a riveting read, this document— which includes cancellation/change policies—is extremely important.
Payments, Chargebacks & Commission Policies
Review important guidelines related to agency payments, chargeback responsibility, commission eligibility, canceled bookings, and Set Your Own Commission. These policies are designed to help travel advisors better understand payment requirements, protect bookings, and maximize earnings.

An ACH (Automated Clearing House) payment is a free, secure, electronic, bank-to-bank money transfer processed through the Nacha network in the U.S. Payment is usually posted on the SAME DAY the check image is received.

*Payment by agency check may cause a 3–5-day delay in receiving and applying the payment, risking potential cancellation of the booking.
You agree to be liable and indemnify ALG Vacations and its brands for any and all purchases made (including but not limited to all credit card chargebacks), fraudulently or otherwise, using your ARC number or pseudo ARC number, whether such purchases are made by you or any of the following including but not limited to Agency’s outside travel advisors, affiliates, employees, independents, or consultants; and any customer-direct payments made, whether the booking was made through the agency or on the agency’s affiliate website.
If an agency reduces their commission on a booking (for reasons such as to offer the customer a discount), the agency’s full commissionable earnings will still be represented on the1099 tax form submitted to the agency by ALG Vacations Corp. Any questions regarding the agency’s own tax filings should be deferred to a tax professional.
Agency commission is generally paid 7-14 days of completed travel.
Commission Payouts on Canceled Bookings WITH Travel Protection Plus (TPP)
On canceled bookings with TPP, commission is paid up to $100 per room with the TPP cash refund option, and up to $200 per room with the full travel credit option. Additionally, with TPP travel credit option, full commission is also paid on the new travel credit booking. The cancelled booking must be paid to the full gross amount to be eligible, or commission with only be paid on the TPP purchase amount.
Commission Payouts on Canceled Bookings WITHOUT Travel Protection Plus (TPP)
When TPP was NOT purchased and any portion of the reservation is canceled and a refund or travel credit is issued, no commission is paid. This includes instances in which an air credit is available for re-use on another reservation and when the reservation was not paid to the gross total (partial payment above the net total is not valid for commission payout).
Full commission, including “Set Your Own Commission” amounts, will only be paid on reservations without TPP if all of the following conditions are met: 1) the reservation has been paid to the full gross total, 2) the reservation is completely non-refundable (100% penalty for air, hotel, and features, if applicable), and 3) the reservation does not have any air credit.
